Escinea® is a dietary supplement with plant-based active ingredients that support the body’s health, including its natural antioxidant defences. It combines black chokeberry (Aronia melanocarpa) fruit extract and β-escin obtained from horse chestnut (Aesculus hippocastanum L.) seeds.
Free oxygen radicals are formed in the human body during normal metabolic processes. However, factors such as excess body weight, smoking, alcohol consumption, stress, environmental pollution and excessive exposure to sunlight (UV radiation) can lead to oxidative stress – an imbalance between the formation of free radicals and the body’s antioxidant capacity. Scientific studies show that the body’s antioxidant defence mechanisms can be effectively supported by dietary ingredients with antioxidant properties.
